Frequently Asked Questions

MUSIC

Q: Can I bring my dog?

We love dogs, but due to the amount of people during music events only certified service dogs are allowed. During our normal business hours, we love leashed dog visitors in the gallery and garden. We even hand out treats! However, no dogs are allowed in the cafe building, and we do ask that they use the "dog bathroom" in the grass across the road (and please pick up messes).

Q: Do I need to bring my own chair?

Seating is provided, however if you have a comfortable camp chair, you're welcome to bring it.

Q: What food options are available?

On music nights, the cafe offers pizza, desserts, ice cream, and espresso drinks. In addition, there is a snack shack with popcorn, hot dogs, and soda. Our outdoor bar serves bottled beverages including beer, wine, ciders, and seltzers.

Q: Is the Gallery or Creative Zone open during music?

No, please visit during out regular daytime hours.

Q: Is music family friendly?

Yes, we love providing a family-friendly atmosphere, so kids are welcome. However, we ask that you watch your children at all times, for their own safety and out of respect for others.

Q: What happens if it rains?

In the case of extreme weather, the show will be cancelled and refunds will be issued.

If there is light rain, we have a tent we will use if needed. Please note, refunds will only be issued if the event is cancelled.

Q: Can I reserve a table?

There are two ways to reserve a table. The first is by purchasing a season pass (Friend of the Shed CLICK HERE for more information). The second way is to purchase a reserved table through the ticket link. Each event has 12 reservable tables. Each table is reserved as a package with four tickets.

Q: How early should I arrive?

Doors open at 5:30, but people often come early and wait in line to get their preferred seating. This is typically 30 minutes before the gate opens.

CREATIVE ZONE

Q: What is the Creative Zone?

Our creative zone is a paint-your-own-pottery space. This means you will be glazing pottery pieces that have already been bisque fired. We have around 200 pieces to choose from, starting at $12. The price of the piece includes glazing and firing.

Q: Are there age restrictions?

We love artists of all ages. Baby footprints are so sweet and toddlers have a blast. We love to see people of all ages being creative together. It's a great family activity!

Q: Do I need to make a reservation?

Reservations are not required, but very helpful if you have over 15 people in your group.

Q: How long does it take to glaze?

This a hard question to answer. Some people are done in 15 minutes and while others take hours. The average time needed is about one hour. Our cut-off time to start glazing is 3 pm.

Q: Does the glaze stain clothes?

No, all of the glaze used is washable, but we do have aprons available if you would like to use one.

Q: What happened to Raku?

Sadly, for insurance purposes we had to stop offering Raku pottery.

Q: When can I pick up our pottery?

After glazing, you will be given a slip with the date your pottery will be available. The amount of time will vary depending on the season. In the summer, it usually takes 3-4 days, but the rest of the year pottery isn't ready for pickup until the following Saturday.

Q: Do you host birthday parties?

Q: Do you ship?

Yes, you can pay to have your pottery shipped. Shipping price is based on the cost of the pieces glazed.

For information on birthday parties or other private events, please call 715-468-4122.

Q: Can I make something with clay?

No, at this time we only offer glazing of bisqued pottery.
